My practice is founded in experiential relationships between individuals, and between individuals and places. Though detailed drawings, I explore how experiences are translated and altered through multiple means of representation. The act of drawing transforms a documented performative gesture into a metaphoric action isolated from both temporal and spatial reality. Focusing on ideas of connection and isolation, longing and belonging, my work pushes and pulls at the divisions between experience, memory, and representation.
