The series such as Sock Wars, Union Suit, and Double Balaclava investigate the pleasurable and awkward intricacies of intimate human relationships. As multiple bodies are connected with garments both appropriated and handmade, these interactions become metaphors for the complexity of human intimacy. The inquisitive explorations of bodies as they are activated by these dysfunctional garments are documented by photography and video, and often translated into detailed silverpoint drawings. They demonstrate the inherent longing to achieve a complete oneness with another human being; the Union Suit embodies not only this attempt, but also its inevitable failure.
