"Alley" ink
-A big pot full of leaves and other organic matter swept up in the alley outside my studio
-4 quarts water
-8 TB vinegar
-2 TB salt
Simmer to concentrate and darken the liquid

After multiple hours of simmering, the liquid is reduced at least by half

Leaves and other debris are strained out and the liquid is simmered further to concentrate it.
