Studio Process & Material Making > Hibiscus syriacus Paper

Process of creating handmade paper with Hibiscus syriacus (Rose-of-Sharon) bast fiber harvested in the artist's yard (made during a 2022 Denbo Fellowship at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, MD)

The process is based on a recipe developed by Winifred Lutz for Helen Heibert's book "Papermaking with Garden Plants & Common Weeds"
